Typically, if you can swim you can also snorkel. Our tour groups are small and can easily be tailored to the experience and comfort level of the client. Children can usually learn to snorkel during our lagoon beach stop where the shore is nearby and the water only a couple feet deep. Nervous swimmers can splash around on the life ring tethered to the boat, just feet from the watchful eye of the captain. There is also plenty of shade for those who prefer to relax. Beach exploration can yield anything from driftwood to sand-dollars to sharks teeth.

Like to take pictures? Besides encountering dolphins & turtles, we commonly see Frigate Birds, Herons, Pelicans, Spotted Eagle Rays, Sting Rays, Barracuda, Osprey, Turns, Noddies, Laughing Gulls, Tropic Birds, and beautiful migrating waterfowl and hawks. An encounter with these highly intelligent and friendly marine animals can fascinate and amaze.

There's always an abundance of cool drinking water and cooler space available for your sandwiches. Tours may be catered with 48hrs notice. Local markets often have fruit in season, along with sandwich fixins'. Take out is another option. A Culebra phone directory is available in the treasure chest page of this site.

"Culebra's Marine Wildlife Refuge let's you see the Caribbean as it was when pirates plied these same pristine waters. It's like being on a movie set!"

Polarized sunglasses will eliminate surface glare and allow you to see down to the ocean's bottom. (highly recommended)

Contact lenses are not a problem while swimming or snorkeling. We've never lost even one, but bring extras just in case.

You are not going to be eaten by sharks. This is a common question. We now forward those inquiries directly to Steven Spielberg. Shark sightings are one of the most amazing things you might ever experience. The Caribbean reef shark rarely considers humans to be food and usually feeds at night. Usually...
